Beginning on June 1 2007, the "Job and Career" and
"Industries" menus of Navigator will no longer be available. The "Education"
and "WIA Eligibility" menus will still be available for the Eligible
Training Provider program.
Effective immediately, please use Colorado LMI's new site at
http://www.coworkforce.com/lmigateway for
Job and Career and Industries data.
The Colorado Navigator system provides easy access to information that you can use to find a job, plan a career, or locate available programs for education and training. Navigator draws on an extensive database called ALMIS (America's Labor Market Information System) that is maintained by economists and database analysts in the Colorado Labor Market Information Section.
To get started, run your mouse pointer over the major topic headings above.
The Job and Career area of the Navigator provides occupational wage information, projections of occupational growth, and employer lists. There are also links to other Web sites that will help you plan a career or write a resume to either print or submit electronically for employers to view.
The Education and Training area of the Navigator will help you search the ALMIS database for schools and the education and training programs that they provide in your area.
The Targeted Industries area of Navigator is a system that you can use to identify the growing industries in your area, followed by companies that employ people in those industries.
WIA (Workforce Investment Act) Eligibility is a Web site that allows training providers to request an ID and password and apply for WIA eligibility for their training programs.
In order to print any page in Navigator, select File: Print from the top menu in your browser. You may also need to adjust your page margins in Page Setup (also under the File menu) to get the optimal format.
